Published Nationally!

Went to do my first photography assignment today for Artemisa Noticias — a women's rights conference at the Faculdad de Derecho at the Universidad Buenos Aires. Influential women's rights activists spoke in front of an almost all-female crowd about topics such as abortion rights and domestic violence.

I was the only photographer in there for a while, until a photographer from Pagina 12, one of the national papers, came running in late. He said that he really needed a picture of the first speaker, and asked to use mine. I called Carolina and made sure it was OK to do so.

"Nos salvaste!" the photographer told me. "You saved us!"

So, on my first day of work, I got published in the national newspaper.
